Meet Tender Cradle School

In Tender Cradle, we are building a 5-STAR early childhood learning institution filled with future stars. We believe that effective education requires both a relevant curriculum and excellent teachers/practitioners who understand and are able to implement the curriculum requirements.  We understand that children develop physically, intellectually, and emotionally. They are entitled to provisions that support and extend knowledge, skills, understanding and confidence. This eventually helps them to overcome any disadvantage. We also ensure that all our children feel included, secured and valued. At Tender Cradle, our passion is ......Raising A total Child!

Tender Cradle School is a private Nursery and primary School established on the 26th of August 2001. The School currently operates from two locations: Mainland School at Ikeja and Island School in Awoyaya along the Ibeju – Lekki Ajah area of Lagos state.

Tender Cradle School operates a robust blend of the Montessori and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in the Nursery section. All teachers in the Nursery Section are fully certified Montessori Educators. The school boasts of classrooms equipped with complete Montessori materials. The primary section operates a rich blend of the Nigerian curriculum and the International Primary Curriculum with the use of the Edexcel International Primary Curriculum in Numeracy (Mathematics), Science and Literacy (English).

The International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is used in schools all over the world. Currently this includes over 1,500 national and international schools in over 80 countries. Learning with the International Primary Curriculum means that children focus on a combination of academic, personal and international learning that is exciting and challenging.
The aim of the IPC is to help every child enjoy the learning of a wide range of subjects and to develop an enquiring mind, the personal attributes that will help throughout teenage and adult years, and to develop a sense of his or her own nationality and culture, at the same time developing a profound respect for the nationalities and cultures of others. Through the IPC approach to learning children develop the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to confidently face the world of tomorrow.
